CathyAbout the Artist

Catherine’s launch into the world of the arts started in 1972 in Windsor, Ontario where she grew up. She learned the specialized skill of glass blowing under Master Glass Artist, Wolfgang R. Eberhart. Producing sculptured glass in various forms including the figure, she traveled across Ontario demonstrating and selling her work.

Art was put on the shelf while she devoted herself to raising a family until 2004 when she completed an apprentice program from “The Academy of Realist Art” in Edmonton where her interest in portraiture grew. She’s studied with Master Portrait Artists all over Canada and United States such as Perrin Sparks, Juan Martinez, Mick Dignity and Michael Dudash.

Her career has blossomed at an accelerated pace gaining recognition as a portrait artist, winning an award for the painting, 'Breezy', gaining a corporate aquisition with the County of Parkland, aquired a Featured Artist role with Northlands Capital EX. and had her work published in several magazines and news papers all within the first 5 years.

She currently resides in Parkland County, Alberta, Canada with her husband Joe and works from her home studio.

Personal Statement

I acknowledge any talent I have is a gift from God. He’s given me such a passion to paint and I feel incredibly blessed. As much as I treasure this gift there is a greater gift from Him that I am even more passionate about…His free gift of grace. We will all be called into account at the end of our life and the only hope we have as sinners before a Holy God is the substitution Jesus made on our behalf…His life for ours.

I gladly accepted His gift of mercy 24 years ago and for that I am so thankful…I’ve never regretted it.

I hope you too will consider your eternity.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16

I hope my art, my business and all that I do…will Glory Him.
